make you stand in awe.

I firmly believe in one quote:

I believe in pink.
I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner.
I believe in kissing, kissing a lot.
I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong.
I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls.
I believe tomorrow is another day.
I believe in miracles.
-Audrey Hepburn

If every girl in the world was going to be honest she’d tell you that she has days when she hates how she looks. Where she wishes she could lose at least ten pounds, and never have another spot in her life. Where if only her hair would stay straight she’d be happy. If she could only look like Emma Watson. I have those days. I have them a lot.
But guess what? That’s not gonna make you happy. After you lose those ten pounds then you’ll want think “If only I could lose five more!” As soon as your hair lies flat you’ll decide that you need curly hair. It’s a never ending vicious cycle.
So today I discovered something as I was taking a shower (is it just me, or does anyone else have life changing moments while showering?). That if I want to be beautiful I have to decide that I’m going to be beautiful. Beauty doesn’t just happen. And I don’t mean being willing to wake up twenty minutes earlier to put on your make up. I mean that you can’t just be beautiful, you have to be beautiful. Your innermost self has to be beautiful, and to do that you have to make the concise decision to do beautiful things. Cause usually when you’re doing beautiful things you find that you’re happy. And Audrey got it fully right when she said that happy girls are the prettiest.
So today I decided to be pretty. I decided to be the quirky, happy, friendly me. To write a little note to my waitress telling her that she too was beautiful. I can be beautiful. I am beautiful. You can be beautiful. You are beautiful.
Pass along the message of beauty.

P.S. Sorry for my lack of quality posts. I've got some planned out for the week, but every time I get one done something seems to go wrong. Have a Merry Tuesday (:
