I Wanna Love Like Johnny & June

June was a really great month. It was sad. It was happy. It was everything, and what better way is there to be?

On The Blog-

  • Ivory Giraffes had 17 posts {One of the lowest since October... hey. I was busy!}. 2,692 page views, which is about a hundred more than last month. I was pleasantly surprised by that, only because I had about half the posts of last month. Weeeeird. And. And. AND. I had 3 new followers. Up to 52, and you know what that means! A giveaway to be happening shortly!!
  • In all honesty, not a lot of "special" things happened on the blog this month. I didn't post much. I didn't interact much. It was lame. But life was great. Sometimes thats what happens though, you know? You have to take a little break from something you love so that you can remember to enjoy everything else.
Off The Blog-

  • Casie moved away. Bummer of my life. But I'm really happy for her. She's already had a few interpreting jobs lined up, and get this: will be going on cruise for one of those jobs to Alaska! How lucky is she?
  • I had my graduation party! Finally! After much preparation everything went smoothly and I couldn't have asked for a better day. Everyone I wanted to be there was there. Everything looked cute. I had fun.
  • Work is finally in full swing, which makes for a happy Hannah!
  • I crashed on my moped. Which was so awesome of me, but in the end really hurts. It's been two weeks and its finally starting to heal up properly.
  • The beach. The beach. The beach. This last week alone I've went nearly everyday, and there is nothing better than that, I tell you!
  • Hunter. Oh, Hunter. This month I've got to spend more time with him than usually two or three months during the school year combined. It makes for a much happier Hannah.
Well, hopefully I'll see you around the blogosphere!

May Day

Oh. My. Goodness. Yet another month is gone. Where in the world is all the time going? Ha. I sound like an old woman. But, seriously. May is over with. So what are some of the big accomplishments on the blog and elsewhere this month?

On The Blog-

  • Ivory Giraffes had 37 posts in May (Post 37 coming later today!!)! And 2,596 page views, which is almost a thousand more than we've ever had, 85 comments, and a few new readers. I forgot to keep track, so sorry about that. As of today there are 49 of us, so dangerously close to 50!
  • 20 Things- 2.0  went awesomely! Check it out to learn 20 things you probably didn't need to know about me!
  • I did a guest post for Michelle
  • Ivory Giraffes became affiliated with Shabby Apple! Which is basically just a fancy way to say that if you click the Shabby Apple button on my blog and purchase something, I'll get a commission. Which is rad.
  • I talked a lot about being happy
Off The Blog-
  • I turned eighteen!
  • Can we say DONE WITH HIGHSCHOOL FOR LIFE?
  • I started working, and driving a moped.
  • I drank my first Starbucks and had my first taste of Panera.
  • I also ran into a barbed wire fence, resulting in cutting up my leg.
All in all, what a great month. And many more to come, I hope!

March Roundup

Before I get into this may I just say that there are very few songs with the word "March" in them, especially in the correct context. It was easy to find one for February and I already have an idea of one for April, but March. Gosh, dang it. Nothing. Nada. I need to write a song! Maybe no one writes them because March is a dismal month... Annnnywho. Let's get on with it!

What happened on the blog this month? And some "real life" things?

  • She had 26 posts, over 1,600 visitors, 72 comments, and at least 6 new followers (I forgot to keep track... You can shoot me now.)
  • I had three guest bloggers. (123
  • Posted my first ever recipe
  • Made some good ole' Maple Syrup
  • I had a blast posting an Accent Tag
Let's give a good round of applause for another month come and gone! Hopefully next month brings as much happiness... and maybe a little bit less snow.

Goodbye February! I'm not sad to see you go, especially with weather such as this.
