What I Wore// Bethel Bound

Brad is drinking lemonade or something. Not beer. Also, I apologize for how blurry the picture of Hunter is.
So. I'm eighteen now. In my mind eighteen seems so much nicer than seventeen, mainly because I'm fond of even numbers rather than odd. But in reality eighteen really isn't too different from seventeen, except in the fact that I can officially rent movies from my favorite store. Pretty spectacular, eh?
My whole "birthday weekend" was pretty uneventful, really. It started Thursday with me driving back down to Bethel (Yes. Again.) for registration. Friday I registered for all my classes, Aerobics being one of them. Seriously, it was either Aerobics or Weight Lifting, so I broke down and signed up for Aerobics. Pretty uneventful and boring really. But, I'm officially signed up for everything which is pretty awesome if I do so myself!
But it was pretty nice being with Hunter on Saturday and Sunday. The kid sort of makes me happier, and he makes me want to be happier. I ended up having a pretty decent birthday, and whole weekend really. With everything though, turning eighteen, registering for classes, I realize that I really am going away. I'm leaving. And all these things remind me more and more often that my Daddy isn't here to do these things with me. Which isn't okay. I'm not going to pretend it's all okay, and I don't mind. It's not okay, but I have to deal with it. It's life. It goes on. But it going on doesn't change anything, doesn't change the facts. The facts being that it's been two years yesterday since my Daddy died.
Life isn't perfect. My life isn't perfect. But it is my life. It's all mine. Really, that's all we have, isn't it? Our own lives. Our story. Everything else in the world you have to share, and it isn't yours forever. But my life story. It's no one else's but mine. It makes me want to live a great life, make my story good. You know? Or maybe I'm blabbering. As per usual. Anyways, I just want to embrace my life story. The good. The bad. The incredibly depressing.

P.S. Thing number 20 is that I like even numbers a trillion times better than odd. They even sound nicer, not to mention that they're easier to work with.

20 Things 2.0- Thing 15

I'm actually really nervous putting up a video of me singing. I'm not entirely sure as to why, but I am. Even though I sing in front of people all the time, it's way different putting it up on the Internet for forever. Ya'know?

20 Things 2.0- Thing 12, 13, & 14

Thing 12-
I still frequently purchase clothing from the little girl's section. I'm tell you, there are some really cute (*cough* *cough* Hello Kitty) stuff. And their bras. Gosh, I love getting bras from the little girls section. It's so annoying to me that once you get down to the smaller sizes in the Junior's or Women's department they automatically assume because you have small boobs you want them to look bigger so the majority of 32A's are pushup bras! But, the little girls section has a wide variety of cute 32A's that aren't pushup bras. Okay, end rant.

Thing 13-
I'm a really big hockey fan. Maybe it's because I live really close to Canada, or maybe it's a Northern Michigan thing as well. But hockey is the one sport that I can watch and be completely riveted by. Red Wings all the way.

Thing 14-
I'm really bad at making eye contact when I talk to people. I just am not really sure where to look. Do I look at their face as a whole? Do I look at one eye (you can't really look at both...)? Do I look at their nose? Their mouth? It's so confusing.

20 Things 2.0- Thing 9

As much as I wear the color pink my all-time favorite color is blue. Blue. Blue. Blue. It's just such a relaxing color. I love every kind of shade of blue. Sky blue. Minty-blue. Navy blue. Cobalt blue. Any kind of blue under the sun.

Here's Thing 9 from last year!

20 Things 2.0- Thing 5, 6, & 7

5) When I was younger I could put both legs behind my head. I used to be mega flexible, and could do the splits every way possible. I'm still pretty flexible and can put one leg behind my head but not both.

6) I cannot wink. It cracks Hunter up, but it's just impossible for me! If I do end up doing it I have to concentrate really, really hard.

7) I'm a grilled cheese fanatic. Which is pretty weird considering I detest most all dairy products, but there is just something about melted cheese. Mm! Mm! Mmm!

20 Things 2.0- Thing 1

Remember last year when for my birthday month I told you a somewhat interesting tidbit about me until the day of my birthday? Well, I had fun with that. So I'm doing it again! Let's begin "20 Things- Version Two".
Behind that smile is a very frightened little girl.
I'm really afraid of masked creatures. Like at DisneyWorld or other places. They scare the crap right out of me. They first time I ever went to Disney there was a parade or whatever that happens in the middle of the day, and I out of nowhere I see the mean Teddy bear from Toy Story 3. I literally started running away and almost started crying. I do not hug Mickey Mouse. I do not say hello to the VeggieTales characters. I don't even like characters that are in costumes but not necessarily in a mask, like I Love Lucy. I was so mad when I had to take that picture...
